Russell Motor Cars: 1911 |
In 1911
Russell continued the Model R as well as the
Russell-Knight "22" and "38" models. New for the
year was the mid-range Russell-Knight "26". The
Model "22" shared the same frame and body as the Model
R, while the Model "26" utilized the 120" WB frame of
the previous year's Model "22" cars. Some changes for 1911: shift & brake levers moved inside on most models full height front doors Grey & Davis lights optional much smoother body lines along the sides one piece dash (no top piece attached for windshield mounting) In April of 1911, the Russell Motor Car Company was incorporated as the parent company with CCM as a subsidiary. The slogan "Made up to a standard, not down to a price" was adopted. Knight engines continued to be imported from Daimler in England. |
