To Wilby and Haney, Ontario presented many challenges. Their route through
the province would cover over 2500 kilometres, much of it over extremely
rugged terrain. In some places there was no possible way to continue and
the car had to be shipped by rail or by ferry.
At times, it was difficult
to find a shop that sold gasoline, so each day's journey had to be carefully planned.
