John Nicol, 39, is a native of Niagara Falls, Ontario. Until recently, he was the award-winning bystander columnist at The Standard in St. Catharines. During 15 years there he wrote features, did several investigations and covered sports, entertainment and news, and was the recipient of two overseas fellowships.
John is the author of two small books, including one on Jack Haney, the driver/mechanic on the original trip of the All-Red-Route Reo. He lives in Niagara-on-the-Lake with his wife Ann, daughters Emma and Annika, and son Alexander.
