The 1997 pathfinders continued their journey along the St. Lawrence today, travelling this time along the north shore from Quebec City to Trois Rivieres. After a visit to the Speedy Auto Centre in Ste. Foy, an escort of vehicles from La Belle Autos D'hier escorted the Reo out of town onto highway 138.

Once again, the scenery was beautiful, although somewhat less visible due to the falling rain. The route led through numerous small towns including the lovely Ste. Anne de la Perade, where the Findlays visited the Ste. Anne church. It is a magnificent building with twin towers stretching 30 metres into the sky. The tower bells chime "fa, sol and la" to ring the parishioners into mass. The church has a 100 year old organ that has over 2000 pipes!

The route into Trois Riviere passed quickly and soon the Reo was negotiating the narrow, twisting streets of the old city, which was founded in the 1600s.

Once again the travellers were quite captivated by the history and culture that is so evident in this part of Canada. And as usual, the people they met welcomed them warmly and new friendships were quickly formed.
